A gorgeous example of late 1940s casual wear. In 1948, this dress cost between $11 and $13, approximately $120 in today's dollar. A perfect color for any season, but especially striking in spring with added green, light blue or yellow. Belt not included; original belt is long since gone. Pleated collar, button front, pleated skirt, bracelet length sleeves. Light shoulder pads.
Note that this dress is pretty short waisted - just 15.5" from shoulder to waist.
Skirt length 31"
Very good vintage condition. There are a few stressed seams around the waist and a couple buttons might need reinforcement, but no other issues to note.
Townfield. I haven't been able to find much about Townfield except they were based in New York and made in New Jersey.
