An absolutely gorgeous example of a salon suit by Lilli Ann during their early years, probably around 1945, when Jean Wright was lead designer. Gathered waist with matching tie (though probably not original -- the skirt has been significantly shortened, so this is possibly the hem of the skirt repurposed), flared sleeves, a-line skirt, jacked lined in satin. Skirt closes with a side metal zip. A truly beautiful and wearable piece of history.
Skirt Waist 29" Hip 42" Length 23" (has been shortened, unfortunately no hem to let down)
Jacket (no closures, but best for these measurements or smaller) Bust 38" Waist up to 30"
Good vintage condition. The button at the collar is probably a replacement, and the skirt has been irrevocably shortened and is no longer lined. Oddly, the shoulder pads have been removed, but the structure is there so they should be replaced. There are some faint spots on the jacket front and tiny spots on the shoulder I haven't tried to lift, but otherwise the color is still vibrant and it's a very wearable piece. Priced accordingly.
